Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of MindVault — the website, the mobile app, and the browser extension. Using MindVault means you agree to them.
Your account
You need an account to use MindVault, you must be at least 13 years old, and the information you give us must be accurate. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your credentials to yourself.
Your content stays yours
Everything you save is yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, to send it to the language-model providers named in our Privacy Policy so it can be turned into concepts and quiz questions, and to show it back to you. We do not use your content to train models, and we do not publish it.
Do not save content you have no right to save, and do not use MindVault to store or share anything unlawful.
This is a beta
MindVault is early software distributed for testing. Features will change, and data loss, downtime and bugs are possible. Do not use it as the only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Sparks and unlockable items
Sparks are an in-app currency earned by studying. They cannot be purchased, they have no cash value, they cannot be transferred or redeemed for money, and any sparks or items in your account disappear when your account does. We may adjust prices, rewards and the catalog at any time.
Fair use
Do not attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, do not automate access to it, and do not use it to abuse or harass other people. We may suspend or terminate an account that does.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app; see the Privacy Policy for exactly what that erases. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or if we stop operating the service.
No warranty, and limits on liability
MindVault is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of the service.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app, and the effective date above will change.
